alcoholics
People who are addicted to drinking and have no intention to stop drinking anytime soon are called alcoholics. If you have become dependent on alcohol and find the need to have it no matter what time of day then you could be an alcoholic.
Alcohol is number one in the drug problem sweeping across the nation and more than 12 million people are alcoholics. An average alcoholic spends nearly $200 on alcohol every single day and due to alcohol related car wrecks someone will die every thirty minutes.
The statistics are scary but not nearly as scary as when you ponder the thought of being out on the road at the same time as an alcoholic is which happens far more than we would really like to know. Alcohol drinking starts at a young age most of them, by the time teen’s graduate from high school 1 out of 3 teens have already had their first drink and by the time graduation night or prom rolls around teens are already planning on having a lot more than just a drink.
A poll taken suggests that teens who start drinking before the age of 15 are more likely to become alcoholics that those who do not drink until the age of 21. Studies also suggest that people with a higher level of education or those living in the upper class bracket are more likely to drink than any other class bracket.
Becoming an alcoholic however can happen to anyone as any age. If you are a person who becomes addictive or dependent on it then the chances of becoming a alcoholic are very high. Alcoholics do not care where there next drink comes from or how they get it, as long they get it. If you or someone you know is an alcoholic the best thing you can do for them is help them.
