addiction withdrawal

addiction withdrawalAddiction has found its way into a lot of people’s homes and to those who have no homes and live on the street. At one time or another we have all dealt with addiction and we find ourselves craving something at one time or another. We can sympathize with how an addicted person might feel and we should all do our best to not be judgmental or throw them under the bus for it.

Addiction is one of the hardest single-handed things to beat in our world, it is a disease that grabs you from the inside and wrecks your entire  world. You find yourself starting to think about things or do things you never thought you would just to get your next fix. It becomes a struggle everyday to get enough money to buy that important drug to your addiction.

Rehab is the most important process a person can endure when it comes to breaking free from an addiction, though it is not easy at all. One of the hardest parts of rehab is the withdrawal. Withdrawal is the process a person must take on to flush the drugs out of their body and out of their life. A person who is  extremely addicted might feel as though they are dying when it comes to this process, but they are not.

Withdrawal takes a person by cold-turkey which means right from the streets and when their last high wears off there is no more. This can be painful because of the side effects a person can feel. With certain drugs a person can feel physical pain, feel as though they are very sick to their stomach and even vomit quite a bit, seizures can take place and even the shakes. None of the side effects are anything that is related with death however; therefore going through withdrawal is a healthy necessary step to a long life of sobriety.

When it comes to rehab and healing you must literally hit rock bottom before you can be built back up and withdrawal does that.
