addict
To be considered an addict you must drink or do drugs at large quantities through-out every day. You must think about when you will be getting your next fix and how long it will last you until you have to take your next hit. Being an addict means you are completely reliant on drugs or alcohol and you have no intention on stopping either of them anytime soon.
When it comes to being an addict there is always hope but first and foremost you have to discover how your life path led you down this road to begin with. Most people in their lives at one time or another hit rock bottom through loss of a marriage, loved one or even job. A spiraling affect leads a lot of people from a failed relationship to do drugs once and then get hooked on them for a long time afterward.
Becoming an addict is not something people work at and clearly if having to choose between a life full of vacations and money running out their ears and an addicted druggie, it is evident that people would choose the better life. However, we are not all born like that and many of us never achieve that lifestyle. Drugs and alcohol open up a gateway to a better life or one would think because of the pleasure but they also lead a person to a miserable health and ultimately if not stopped a miserable death.
If you or someone you know has become a drug addict or alcoholic it is important to get help. You cannot keep telling yourself that eventually you’ll get the help you need. Addiction takes a hold of the body and eventually there is little hope when the drugs began to deteriorate the body. Stop your friends and loved ones, be their voice.
